Vicious by Sara Shepard

This past weekend I finished reading the 22nd book this year. It is called Vicious by Sara Shepard and is the 16th and final book in the Pretty Little Liars series . It is fiction and is 338 pages.

This book starts off continuing where book 15 in the series left off. The girls were arrested for Ali's murder and are out on bail until their hearing. The girls are not supposed to leave town. They visit Nick in jail to try to find out where Ali really is to prove their innocence and he gives them a clue which leads them to go to Cape May. They decide to stay overnight in the vacation town to relax. While they are sleeping Emily goes into the water during a hurricane to commit suicide. Emily's body is not found but assumed dead.
After Emily's funeral Mike proposes to Hanna and they get married. Aria runs off to Paris then Amsterdam where her boyfriend Noel finds her. They wind up getting caught and arrested. Spencer's sister Melissa and her boyfriend Darren are having a baby and getting married.
The girls are found guilty of Ali's murder and are sent to prison. In the end there is a huge twist to the story. Emily didn't really commit suicide she tricked everyone into thinking she had drowned and committed suicide so she could continue to look for Ali. She finds Ali living with her mother and they try to murder her. In the end Ali and her mother go to jail and the girls are set free to go on with their lives. Ali is sentenced to life in prison.
After reading so many of these stories it is hard to believe that it is truly over. A series cannot go on forever though. In a way I am glad to see an end to the series as well before it got old and repetitive and boring.
I added a picture of me holding the book. Terrible picture of me but I like to add pictures to my posts to make them more personal.

I originally wrote this post on personapaper.com on May 12, 2015. The site is shutting down and I never earned any payment. I have transferred this post here on this awesome new blog site and deleted the article on personapaper.
